La volumetría exterior viene dada por la estricta normativa de norholm, pueblo situado en el norte de Jutlandia con una población de 1200 habitantes. Se plantea construir una caja dentro de otra caja. La exterior viene dada, la interior, la construimos según las necesidades de los clientes. Una pareja y tres niñas, cada una con un espacio-caja propio e individualizado.
La casa se orienta al sur, al jardín. La planta primera se abre a norte, desde donde se divisa el mar cercano. En ambas plantas se extruyen las paredes hasta llegar a los forjados y tejado.
Los espacios comunes se comunican, las habitaciones se abren a éste. El proyecto versa sobre el espacio que no construimos, el espacio entre las cajas, el aire entre ellas.
The exterior shape is given by the strict norholm urban laws. Norholm is small village, located in the north of Jutland, with 1200 inhabitants. The main idea is to build a box in a box, a whole interior inside a thick skin. The urban parameters are very rigid, so the external box is given. The purpose is to keep this volume, and build the inside with the clients own parameters and needs. The clients are a family, a couple and three daughters, everyone is able to enjoy their own and individual space.
The house is south oriented, to the garden, and the first floor is opened to the north, from where you can see the sea. In both floors, the walls are extruded to the top.
Common space is communicated, the rooms are opened to it. The project is about the unbuilt space, the volume between boxes, the air in between.
