Reforma de la planta baja de un local social para convertirlo en un Centro de Atención Primaria. Y nuevo equipamiento en la plaza como local social. El nuevo edificio debe ser de construcción ligera, sencilla y bajo presupuesto. La celosía de lamas de madera unifica los dos equipamientos.

Reform of the ground floor of a social club to become a Primary Care Centre. And new equipment at the local plaza as social. The new building construction should be light, simple and low budget. The lattice of wooden slats unifies the two facilities.

Reforma interior de un local en planta baja en el barrio del Ensanche barcelonés. Taller de Pasta se dedica  a la elaboración y venta de pasta fresca, además organiza talleres y actividades. A partir de los conceptos dados por los clientes: transparencia, tradición, natural, se trabajó tanto el espacio como los materiales. Se situó en primer término la zona de trabajo, visible desde la gran cristalera exterior, para mostrar a los clientes la elaboración. Una barra contínua acompaña todo el proceso, desde la producción, a la exposición, embalaje y venta final. Dicha barra se adapta en longitud, anchura y altura a los diversos requerimientos funcionales y espaciales. Las instalaciones son de superfície y quedan vistas.

Ground floor interior reform in the Eixample neighbourhood of Barcelona. Taller de Pasta is dedicated to making and selling fresh pasta, also organizes workshops and activities. Based on the concepts given by customers: transparency, traditional, natural, worked both space and materials. We stood first on the working area, visible from the exterior large window to show customers processing. A continuous bar accompanies the entire process, from production, exhibition, packaging and sale. This bar fits in lenght, width and height to different functional and spatial requirements. The surface facilities are seen.

A partir de dos modificaciones de cota, se estructuran dos grandes patios uno interior para la guardería y otro exterior, parque público, también para la escuela y la salida de la iglesia. El día empieza en este parque, pasa a las aula y acaba en el parque otra vez.

We structure the intervention, modifying the ground level, in two outdoor ‘patios’. One belongs to the kindergarten and the other is a public park, that can be used by the other school children and as a public space for the community who goes to the church. The day starts in this outdoor park, goes to the classroom, and finish in the same park.

Secuencia: plaza- porche- calle interior- clases.

Preliminary ideas for an Special Education Center in Pokhara. For disabled children with Cerebral Palsy about 2 and 18 years old. Number of children: 70; therapist, teachers and assistants: 20; administrative staff: 10. Flexible modules about 6x8m2 (Newar houses). Proyecto de ampliación de la vivienda existente. La vivienda original, de 40m2 en planta baja más 20m2 en planta primera, fecha del 1927. Está situada en la zona residencial y de baja densidad en roskilde. La vivienda ha sufrido diversas ampliaciones, cerradas al jardín y las vistas, pero se ha mantenido intacta la vivienda original. Siguiendo este mismo esquema, se rehabilita la edificación principal existente, se amplía la superficie en 120m2, quedando un total de 180m2, y se abre al jardín, al sol y las vistas del entorno. El espacio interior se fragmenta a través de pequeñas edificaciones que forman parte del conjunto, se relacionan independientemente con la orientación y el lugar. La relación interior-exterior es a través de dichos fragmentos. Las cubiertas se abren hacia el este, sur y oeste para aprovechar las máximas horas de asoleamiento, dado que el recorrido solar, en verano es más largo, y más corto en invierno. La captación solar se conduce a través de las estancias. La relación entre las estancias, las visiones cruzadas como generadoras de nuevas geometrías. Las plataformas interiores refuerzan la individualidad de unas estancias en un espacio común.

House extension. The original house is about 40m2 ground floor, and 20m2 first floor, built in 1927. The house is located in Roskilde, residential and low density area. It suffered several extension through the years, in every case denying garden and views, but the main structure has been kept. Following the same criteria, we refurbish the old house, extend 120m2, 180m2 total surface. We open it to the garden, sun and surroundings. The inner space is fragmented through small different pieces, pieces of a bigger set, they are related with the orientation and place. The indoor-outdoor relationship is through these pieces. The roof is opened to the south, east and west. The sun rays are collected through the rooms. Crossed views define new geometries. Every room in a different platform, all of them in a common big-unique space

Turismo: “gente que viaja y está fuera de su entorno natural, para un tiempo inferior a un año, por ocio, negocio u otros”.

Se ha estratificado el programa y se ha agrupado en tres partes. Cada grupo se materializa como edificación, dando especial relevancia a las conexiones interior-exterior y las circulaciones.

Se ha apilado el programa como se apilan experiencias.

El viaje como metáfora. Un edificio que se recorre, en el que se está y se aprende. La escalera, el pasillo, la plaza, interconectados y abiertos.

Un edificio-aulario que vuela, que es techo y plaza, desde donde se mira, se piensa, se propone, la luz, las sombras y las vistas.

El lugar pasa por debajo del edificio de las aulas conecta espacios verdes, aparcamiento, anfiteatro y calles adyacentes. No hay delante ni detrás.

La piel, metálica, activa y fotosensible, ligera, que protege del sol y permite las vistas.

Tourism: “people who travel and stay in places outside their usual environment for not more than one consecutive year for leisure, business and other purposes.”

The program has been layered and grouped in three parts. Each one is a building. The relation between interior and exterior configure the whole structure.

We collect the program as we collect experiences.

The travel as a metaphor. Someone can travel trough the building, where you are, study and learn. The stair, the corridor, the square, connected and open.

The main building, where the classrooms are, flies. It is roof and square, where you can look at, think, propose. The light, the shadow and the views.

The spaces are connected, green areas inside and outside the site, parking, amphitheatre, and streets. There is no front or behind.The skin, shinny, metallic, active and photosensitive, light. It protects you from the sun and allow to look at the views

La volumetría exterior viene dada por la estricta normativa de norholm, pueblo situado en el norte de Jutlandia con una población de 1200 habitantes. Se plantea construir una caja dentro de otra caja. La exterior viene dada, la interior, la construimos según las necesidades de los clientes. Una pareja y tres niñas, cada una con un espacio-caja propio e individualizado.

La casa se orienta al sur, al jardín. La planta primera se abre a norte, desde donde se divisa el mar cercano. En ambas plantas se extruyen las paredes hasta llegar a los forjados y tejado.

Los espacios comunes se comunican, las habitaciones se abren a éste. El proyecto versa sobre el espacio que no construimos, el espacio entre las cajas, el aire entre ellas.

The exterior shape is given by the strict norholm urban laws. Norholm is small village, located in the north of Jutland, with 1200 inhabitants. The main idea is to build a box in a box, a whole interior inside a thick skin. The urban parameters are very rigid, so the external box is given. The purpose is to keep this volume, and build the inside with the clients own parameters and needs. The clients are a family, a couple and three daughters, everyone is able to enjoy their own and individual space.

The house is south oriented, to the garden, and the first floor is opened to the north, from where you can see the sea. In both floors, the walls are extruded to the top.

Common space is communicated, the rooms are opened to it. The project is about the unbuilt space, the volume between boxes, the air in between.

Como punto de partida, la hora del cuento y el círculo que forman los niños y niñas alrededor del cuentacuentos. Instante compartido entre grandes y pequeños.

Los círculos, los corros, se apropian de un territorio desarticulado e inconexo, dándole sentido, se lo apropían. Cada círculo-corro es una zona de juegos, nuevo espacio de intercambio y compartido. Se ordena el vacío, y se articulan conjuntamente zonas verdes, accesos, conexiones, equipamientos y zonas de juego. Se eliminan todas las barreras físicas, se conserva el arbolado actual y se plantan veinte de nuevos. Se favorece la fluidez de comunicación y usos.

La guardería como lugar de encuentro entre niños y adultos.

Storytellers and the children sitting in circle around them, as starting point. Shared moment between the children and the adults.

The circles appropriates the messy territory, giving it sense and articulate it. Every circle is a playground , new exchanging space. The void is ordered and planed, the green areas, access, connections, equipments and playgrounds are articulated together. The barriers are eliminated, we preserve existing trees and we add twenty more. The communications and uses are promoted. Kindergarden as a place where children and adults meet.

Project: High Precission Bar Turning Factory extension / Ampliación y Reforma de una Nave Industrial

Rehabilitación, reforma y ampliación de una nave industrial existente. Reestructuración de las oficinas, laboratorios, vestuarios y comedor.

En las oficinas se ha optado por cubículos transparentes de cristal, en relación unos con otros. Nuevas salas de reuniones con tabiques móviles, para un solo espacio o compartimentado.

Espacio de almacenamiento-estantería de treinta metros.

Escalera exterior de policarbonato, con iluminación interior.

Rehabilitation, restoration and extension of an existing thirty years old factory. Office, laboratories, dressing rooms and dining room, are affected.

Office cubicles are designed in transparent glass.

New meeting room, with mobile walls, for a one single space or subdivided is designed.

Thirty meters long new shelf.

Luminous policarbonate exterior staircase.

Parcela de 1000m2 orientada a sur. Terreno en pendiente de 25m entre cota norte y cota sur. La vivienda se desarrolla en cuatro  plantas que salvan el desnivel gradualmente.

La casa se sostiene por tres muros portantes, que recogen los tres forjados y la cubierta. Al estar situada en una zona residencial de pequeñas parcelas, las distancias entre los vecinos son cortas, favoreciendo cierta densidad. Los muros se prolongan para dar la privacidad e intimidad necesarias.

Las circulaciones se sitúan en fachada oeste y las estancias en fachada este. Las cubiertas son transitables y forman parte de la casa.

Recogida y reutilización de las aguas pluviales de la parcela y vivienda. La piscina y la acs, se calientan mediante placas solares.

Site of 1000m2, south oriented. From north to south, the ground level height is about 25m. The house has four floors to lighten that height.

Three carry walls support the house. The house is located in a quite compact area, the neighbours are close. So the walls are extended to get privacy and intimacy.

The circulation flow is on west side, and the rooms are on the east side of the house. The roofs are practicable. Rain water from the house and the site is collected and reused. Solar panels heat the swimming pool and water

La biblioteca como instrumento.  

Se propone un recorrido interior a base de rampas con programa. Llegada al área de acceso, que actúa como plaza, con un espacio de triple altura. Toda la estructura se sustenta de las cerchas de la cubierta, desde donde cuelgan los tirantes de planta segunda y primera. La planta baja es libre.  

La iluminación es zential a través de la sección de la cubierta, orientado a norte. 

A library as a tool. 

We propose a indoor path, with ramps that contain program, allowing us to access the area as you acces a public square, with triple height space. The structure, first and second floor, are supported by the roof beams. Ground floor has no columns.  

The roof section allows interior lightning. The roof windows are north oriented.

Reforma de una vivienda unifamiliar en cabrils, en el maresme.Se amplía comedor y cocina en relación con la terraza exterior. Se rediseña el mobiliario interior.Ampliación del sótano para convertirlo en bodega.

Single family house reform located in cabrils, maresme.

We extend living room and the kitchen, relating it with the outdoor terrace. The furniture is redesigned.

Basement extension and subsequent conversion into a wine cellar.

El Tarter, Andorra

Propuesta urbana para una zona residencial de alta densidad, situada a pie de montaña, junto la estación de esquí. Con hotel y equipamientos.

Se elimina la circulación de tráfico rodado, excepto los buses que llegan al hotel, y se entierran calles y aparcamientos. En la superficie calles peatonales y zonas verdes públicas y semipúblicas. Se mantiene el arbolado existente.

New urban plan. High density residential area. The site is close to El Tarter skiing area. Includes house apartments, hotel, restaurants, bar and wellness center.

We erased the car circulation from the surface, except for the buses circulating to the hotel. The road and parking are in the basement. We evolved the surface to pedestrian streets, small paths and green public areas. We keep the existing trees.
